Thank you so much for the ArtShed Takeaway, our children (aged 8 and 11) did them this weekend and loved them. They found the pictures challenging (in a good way) and were able to learn a lot and complete the projects using your tutorials. They really enjoyed it and got a real sense of achievement from completing the projects. The materials packs you delivered were brilliant and the children are glad they also have some new art materials for future projects. It was a brilliant activity and they are looking forward to completing future ArtShed Takeaway projects!
Nicola, St Albans, 2020 My children love going to holiday camps here. They were looking forward to going to an Easter camp so I got them the ArtShed Takeaway project to make up for it a bit. The materials came really quickly and they had a really happy whole day working on the project! The videos must have been clear and easy to understand because I didn't get asked any questions at all and the end pictures they both did were fantastic! Highly recommend.

Lydia, St Albans, 2020 I ordered the watercolours Takeaway for my daughters to do during lockdown. The supplies were delivered very quickly and were excellent value. The videos on YouTube are brilliant and my daughters have followed them very well. The girls are still drawing up their main piece of artwork on the proper paper. It has been spread over a couple of weekends - trying to do the artwork on the weekends. Would definitely recommend, and am looking forward to future projects. Good value for money.
Natalie, St Albans, 2020 I’ve now done two of the ArtShed Takeaway paintings and enjoyed every minute. I did one with my 10 year old daughter for a lovely shared experience and the second one I set aside time alone and worked on it over two days. Kathy’s instruction is clear and well pitched. The art work is accessible to all levels of ability and experience and I was pleasantly surprised how my painting turned out. I’ll definitely do another although I’ll need to find another wall to hang it on!
Julianne, St Albans, 2020 Having previously attended the holiday club, which the children thoroughly enjoyed, we have ArtShed Takeaway a go, as a way of relaxing together but getting a bit of creative direction. It was brilliant, in a word. Had a mother daughter afternoon drawing lions in charcoal. The instructions were clear, and easy to follow (I'm no natural artist), and we ended up with two very different, but very good pictures. Planning to do more of these as an easy, affordable entertainment option in lockdown world. More charcoal animals please ArtShed Takeaway.
Felicity, Harpenden, 2020 I took part in the ArtShed Takeaway projects which I really enjoyed. My nieces attended ArtShed workshops for years, but now with their mum they have been doing family projects online and recommended them to me. Kathy is a great teacher as my painting ability is at fairly beginners level and I was able to learn on a good pace. I did the Watercolour Duck Run Project and am planning to start another one.

Julie, Reading, 2020 My daughter, India 8 yrs old, completed the ducks watercolour painting through ArtShed Takeaway. She spent two afternoons busy following Kathy's tutorial. Kathy has a great pace and very clear with instruction and India could pause the video when needed. The materials supplied by ArtShed were good quality and made following the tutorial run smoothly. India managed to do most of the painting by herself - just needed a little help with the initial horizontal line to get it straight. India says she was so happy that she learnt how to do reflections in the water. I am looking forward to doing the blossoms watercolour. Brilliant! Thank you.

Highly recommend, both of my children (ages 6 and 8) attended a 2 day camp and said it is their favourite by far (comparing to sport, football, dance). They came home on the second day with the most fantastic pieces of art and can't wait to go back! It was held at St Peters School which was a great set up, my son loved the fact they got to paint, draw and then play and for me it was great as they were not completed exhausted and grumpy when they got home.

My son never draws or colours at home, but he always makes or paints something that makes him proud at ArtShed. There is plenty of time for play and it is fun and relaxed. He is even happy to stay extended hours tomorrow and hasn’t mentioned missing out on playing Minecraft by doing this! I don’t feel any guilt leaving him here while I go to work as I know he is happy.

Charlotte, St Albans, 2018 Thank you for another fantastic ArtShed holiday camp and two beautiful new masterpieces for the wall. Artshed is without doubt the children’s favourite holiday activity club - they get to spend a day outside, being creative, enjoying the fabulous setting (sandpit, chickens, climbing frame etc) and are so proud of the artwork they produce with you. The children have developed some great techniques over the numerous sessions they’ve attended and love to reproduce and adapt these at home. They’ve already asked if they can do “lots more” days in the summer holidays! Thanks again.

Our art teacher Kathy shares her expertise unobtrusively guiding us to the right direction but at the same time giving us freedom to make our own choices. We are also constantly learning different techniques of painting which makes the class challenging but very entertaining at the same time.
