One-off Art  Classes and Courses for Adults

If you are just looking for a one-off or occasional art class you might like to book one of our 'Have a go at painting' classes. These classes are small and suitable for complete beginners. All art materials are provided so you just need to book and turn up - of course, you may want to bring snacks and wine too!

​Or, If you're looking to develop expertise in a specific area, you may be interested in one of our professionally delivered Masterclass courses.  

'Have a go at painting' evening classes

Great for beginners or those looking to revisit an artistic past!

• Classes run on Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 10.00pm with a choice of projects & dates.
• Kathy will take you through step-by-step how to paint the project painting in oils or acrylics.
• All art materials along with tea & coffee will be supplied but bring your own snacks and wine too!
• ​The class will run at the ArtShed and costs £45 per person.

​New ! - Classical Portraiture Masterclass in the Summer Holidays ​

​Join us for an inspiring 5-Day Masterclass in Classical Portraiture from Monday 27th – Friday 31st July and immerse yourself in the timeless techniques of traditional oil portrait painting.

Perfect for adult beginners, intermediate artists, and A-Level students, this course will guide you through the fundamental principles of portraiture, helping you develop the skills and confidence to create compelling, lifelike portraits.

The masterclass will be led by James Robinson, Artist in Residence at Haileybury, whose expert tuition makes this a unique learning opportunity for aspiring artists.

​Held at Haberdashers' Girls' School, Elstree, the course runs alongside the first week of our children's holiday camps, making it especially convenient for families.
